A fun and purposeful learning environment

Classroom Facilities

PCA shares the classroom space with the Oasis Christian Church. Our classrooms are setup during the week as fun learning environments, and taken back down for the weekend. Classroom 1 is a Preschool/ Pre-k classroom that Ms. Linda is the teacher in. The class across the hall from there is the Third through Fifth grade classroom that Mrs. Geary is the teacher in. The main lobby is the central gathering room for before school, after school, and lunches. Classroom 2 is the Kindergarten through Second grade classroom that Ms. Jessica is the teacher in. Classroom 3 is the second Preschool/Pre-k classroom. Upstairs above the lobby is the Middle through High school classroom.

Children are continually learning with fun and engaging activities.  The students learn about a different theme each week as well as weekly letter recognition and Bible stories. Every month the children also learn a new color and shape.

At the end of every year administration and staff review the current test scores in order to determine the effectiveness of our curriculum and determine if any adjustments need to be implemented.  A comparison of the preceding years test scores to the current year is also conducted.

Students have the benefit of moving up and down the curriculum ladder to fit their educational needs.  Students who excel in certain subject matters are moved up the curriculum ladder and students who need additional resources move appropriately for their skill set.

PCA students are treated on an individual basis for their academic needs.  Students are not held at a certain level to wait for other students and conversely additional support is provided when needed.  PCA has the ability to create a unique academic plan for each student because of the small class sizes.

Pueblo Christian Academy

MIDDLE – HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM

Pueblo Christian Academy uses the Alpha Omega Academy Program which is accredited by the

North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI),

an accrediting division of AdvancED, the world’s most trusted and recognized accrediting

organization, that represents over 32,000 schools.

Within the Alpha Omega Academy sphere, Pueblo Christian Academy has chosen the Ignitia

Curriculum. It is a robust learning tool for our on-line learners. Ignitia is a web-based curriculum

that provides lesson questions, quizzes, projects and test that are completed online. Pueblo

Christian Academy fully supports our students with an in-classroom teacher. We added to the

on-line curriculum with monthly class projects that are presented in a power point presentation

or 3D-Display Board format. Students are required to participate in our onsite enrichment

programs, Chapel, P.E. and Music. There is so much more to Pueblo Christian Academy

including our yearly school wide Christmas program, the hands-on science experiments, and we

can’t forget our end of year field trip! Find out what PCA families already know, Pueblo

Christian Academy is a great place to learn!

We offer a two-track option for our high schoolers. Does your student want to attend college

after high school or is the high school diploma the academic goal? PCA will set up a course

designed for your student’s success! The College Prep Track or the High School Diploma Track

are designed to meet individual needs.

Each student’s attendance is based on expectations of daily goals as set by the administrator,

student and parent/guardian and a quality grade when completing each course. All students

that attend PCA, brick and mortar are required to attend enrichments and complete all in class

extra assignments. If requirements are not being met an absence will be recorded into your

students record. Sign in and out are required and excused absence by doctor’s note when

needed.

Offsite Learning / MIDDLE – HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM

Offsite Learning Program uses the Alpha Omega Academy’s Ignitia curriculum. Our teachers will

be available via online chat or email to help with your student’s questions. Together we will

design your students individual program to meet their current needs to ensure they meet all

graduation requirements. This robust program features all general subjects plus electives that

will engage your student. Our staff will track and maintain all grading, and record keeping.

Offsite Learners attendance is based on expectations of daily goals as set by the administrator,

student and parent/guardian. All work is monitored and when attendance is not being met per

the expectations that all agreed upon a recorded absence will be noted in the students record.
