A great little school in our Pueblo West Community is now having open enrollment for the 2021-2022 school year. Now is the time to enroll at Pueblo Christian Academy to ensure your students slot in this coming school year. We at PCA have seen student enrollment growth this past year in all our grade levels. From preschool to high school, PCA has a class for your student. PCA is following the Health Departments’ most recent procedures concerning COVID-19. This is looked at daily by our teachers and staff to keep everyone safe and healthy during this Pandemic. (Added hand-washing and monitored by staff/teacher, mask-wearing when 6 ft. social distance cannot be maintained, temperature check before entering the building. We have added several disinfectant periods where chairs and desks will be sprayed while the students are in other areas. There are other procedures that have been added such as a new area to drop off and sign in students, signing out students, and location for pickup. We are trying to minimize the number of people in the building at any given time. All necessary procedures for your student will be listed in an e-mail after your student is enrolled. Kindergarten through High School will start on August 2, 2021.
The 2021-2022 school year will have two preschool/pre-k classrooms, a K-1st classroom, a 2nd-3rd classroom, a 4th-6th classroom, and our Middle-High classroom. Each class offers individualized attention to your student and their needs to keep them at a challenging level of learning.
When coming to tour Pueblo Christian Academy you will have the opportunity to meet with our director, Lily Boda, and our assistant principal, Shantelle Panion. Shantelle will show you the facility that the school utilizes and cover the classroom environment all while answering any questions that you may have. There are appointments available throughout the week.
Once you have chosen to send your child to PCA the process is quite simple. You will need to turn in the registration page and pay a $50 non-refundable deposit to hold the spot. This $50 is a portion of the enrollment fee for the year. Before your child can begin classes there will be a few more forms to fill out and the parent is responsible to hand in the current immunization records and a current physical.
The enrollment for the 2020-2021 school year may leave you on a waiting list. This process is a little simpler than enrollment. The parent still hands in the registration form but does not pay the $50 as there is not a guaranteed spot. Upon the opportunity to fill the spot parents will be contacted and may then pay the $50 non-refundable deposit. A waiting list is filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
